The Four-State Forestry on the Grow conference offers today’s landowners
and forestry professional an informative and educational learning
experience. The four state conference brings together today’s forestry
concerns and issues with today’s leading forestry experts and professionals.
New for this year, the conference will highlight issues and concerns
of timberland landowners in the four state region including Southeast
Oklahoma, Southwest Arkansas and Northeast Texas and this year Northwest
Louisiana. The conference is presented by the Ouachita Mountains Resource
Conservation and Development (RC&D) Council in conjunction with
a team of dedicated professionals and generous sponsors.
The purpose of the conference is to share information with those currently
involved in the forestry industry and those considering opportunities
in this important segment of the economy. Topics and issues have been
selected based on the needs and issues of the targeted groups.
Professional Foresters Education
Cutting edge information, current topics, and industry leading professionals
are just three reasons for all foresters to attend. This year new
and updated professional forester’s courses are being offered to address
the Continuing Forestry Educational (CFE) requirements of today’s
foresters. Foresters attending the Professional Forester Sessions
will be able to earn required credit hours to go towards their category
1 continuing educational requirements of the Society of American Foresters,
as well as their Oklahoma and Arkansas forestry registrations.
An accredited Pro-Logger/Master-Logger Certification Course will be
held in conjunction with the 4-State Forestry on the Grow Conference.
There is NO CHARGE to attend the Pro-Logger/Master-Logger
certification course. The 2-day course will be held at the Mary Herron
